It all started when…

Potholes & Penguins is a weekly podcast starring Irish rugby legends Barry Murphy and Andrew Trimble, accompanied by musician and close friend Dermot Sheedy. Potholes & Penguins features some of the biggest names in the rugby world, as well as the greater sporting community.

The success of the show is thanks to the special connection the hosts have with one another. The name of the podcast came about from Barry’s love of potholes and Trimby’s love of penguins. As can be seen from the name of the show, this is not your normal rugby podcast. Potholes & Penguins is an unconventional show where one might even describe it as quirky. It is through this quirkiness that Potholes & Penguins have been able to build up a loyal fan base of core rugby fans while also engaging a wider audience.
